Bel Air

Beverly Hills is a residential community surrounded by the city of Los Angeles. It is known for the luxurious homes of film and television personalities and contains many fashionable shops. "Rodeo Drive," one of the greatest shopping meccas in the world, is located in Beverly Hills.

Beverlywood

Over the last decade, this neighborhood has been quietly building its reputation and has become a truly wonderful place to make a home. Brentwood is a community set in the foothills above and below Sunset Boulevard. An exclusive and affluent community, Brentwood is home to many executives and well-known personalities.

Bisected by Sunset Boulevard, Brentwood consists of very large homes to the north, many of them gated, and small to medium-sized homes to the south, along with high-quality condominiums and apartments. The affluent neighborhood of Brentwood Park is one of the large older estates. Cheviot Hills

Nestled quietly in rolling hills between Beverly Hills, Westwood, and West L.A., Cheviot Hills and its neighbor, Rancho Park, are two neighborhoods that offer the benefits of Westside living at affordable prices.

With its winding streets, an abundance of trees, and hilly terrain, Cheviot Hills gives the distinct impression of suburban living in an urban area. Consisting of small to medium-sized homes built mostly before 1950, it is a mature neighborhood that offers a feeling of solidity and serenity. Hancock Park

Hancock Park is one of L.A.'s oldest and most prestigious neighborhoods. This area, located in the heart of the mid-Wilshire business district, consists mainly of large, luxurious estate homes, bungalows, and Spanish-style houses on quiet, tree-lined streets. Most of the homes have been beautifully renovated and brought back to their original elegance and glory. The homes, mostly from the early part of the century, are solidly built and offer very good value for their prices. Hollywood

In addition, numerous fashionable bars, clubs, hotels, and retail businesses have opened on or near the boulevard, returning Hollywood to a center of nightlife in Los Angeles. Hollywood Hills

Holmby Hills

Part of West Los Angeles' "Platinum Triangle," Holmby Hills is the epitome of Los Angeles's wealth and luxury. Los Feliz

Feliz means "happy" in Spanish, and it's an accurate name for such a pleasant and livable area of L.A. It's hard to be down when you're in walking distance of coffee shops, theaters, boutiques, and sidewalk cafes on Vermont Avenue, between Franklin and Hollywood, or the Hillhurst corridor between Los Feliz Boulevard and Prospect Avenue.

In a city where people feel like they spend more time in their cars than out, this neighborhood is a welcome relief. Aside from the plethora of entertainment options, Los Feliz is also home to some of Los Angeles' most tranquil neighborhoods and standing Spanish architecture.

Miracle Mile Area

The Miracle Mile consists of many older homes, built originally in the 1920s. The area is a wonderful mixture of different styles of homes that include classic Spanish, Mediterranean, Country English, and Tudor, along with Traditional, Colonials, and a variety of many other styles. The Miracle Mile District is located between Wilshire and Olympic Boulevards to the north and south. The area is bordered to the east and west by Fairfax Avenue and Crescent Heights Boulevard.

The area is rich with culture - the Los Angeles County Museum, the La Brea Tar Pits, and Peterson Automobile Museum are in the Miracle Mile area. The business community is well established, with the many office buildings located along the Wilshire Boulevard corridor.

The Miracle Mile District is a wonderful area for first-time buyers, families, and young professionals because of the excellent values available in the area and its convenient location to surrounding communities.

Silver Lake

Silver Lake is inhabited by a wide variety of ethnic and socioeconomic groups, but it is best known as an eclectic gathering of hipsters and the creative class. Silver Lake contains some of the most famous modernist architecture in North America, including Rudolph Schindler and Richard Neutra, who both worked for Frank Lloyd Wright. Many opulent homes are sprinkled throughout the higher altitudes of the community's seven hills. However, small bungalows and mid-century homes can be found near Sunset Junction. The annual Sunset Junction Street Fair & weekly farmer's market celebrates the community's diversity.

Westwood

Westwood is dominated by the influence of UCLA and its world-class Medical Center. Not only does the University provide an atmosphere of intellectual endeavor, but it also offers superb musical and dramatic performances.

Adjacent to the University, Westwood Village bustles with shops, restaurants, movie theaters, the Westwood Playhouse, and a museum housing the Armand Hammer Collection of Art.

The Wilshire Corridor is a stretch of luxury condominiums, with penthouses selling in the millions. The residential area north of Wilshire Blvd. has winding, hilly streets with mature trees and elegant traditional and Spanish homes built in the 1930s. Homes south of Wilshire Blvd. tend to be equally charming, while more modest in size and price.
